Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Catriona Balfe) in "Outlander" | Starz

The Battle of Culloden will be a major subject in "Outlander" season 3 as this is what previous season of the time travel drama has been building towards.

Filming for this event is ongoing with cast member Sam Heughan himself sharing some behind-the-scenes teasers. Being an event of great significance, the war will certainly change how things are in the series.

The Battle of Culloden will be bloody and not everyone will get out alive. According to "Outlander" season 3 spoilers, two shocking deaths are to be expected.

Needless to say, deeper information about this such as the persons in question is not yet available. Either way, it is enough to have fans at the edge of their seats as they wait for the drama to return to the small screen.

Apart from a couple of major deaths in "Outlander" season 3, executive producer Ronald D. Moore, who wrote the premiere, teased on Twitter that there will "definitely" be more steamy scenes to expect.

"Outlander" is known for the sexiness it brings to the table and fans don't have to worry about this aspect in the next season as the show won't tone down on the intimacy.

Moore also confirmed that the voyage scenes for "Outlander" season 3 won't be filmed until next year. He was not specific about it though.

There will be a lot of those scenes in the new season since it will mostly be set in the Caribbean, and due to the fact that it is based on Diana Gabaldon's third novel "Voyager."

It is a mystery for now how long it will take to film these scenes and how this could affect the premiere date for "Outlander" season 3.

According to Romper, the series might return as early as April next year. It has already been promised that "droughtlander" will be shorter this time so fans can expect that the wait won't be longer than they waited for the previous seasons.
