'Persona 5' news, release date: three more confidants revealed
Atlus is giving the Phantom Thieves in "Persona 5" confidants, whom they can share secrets to and actually trust these people to keep them.
Three of these sounding boards namely Hifumi Togo, Sadayo Kawakami and Toranosuke Yoshida were introduced in a bunch of new trailers.
The first one — Hifumi — is a grandmaster Shogi player that the "Persona 5" protagonist can have a good game with during his leisure time. Spending time with her should allow the hero to learn new tactics while also enhancing her own skills.
Sadayo Kawakami is the confidant that the protagonist gets to see in class as she is his homeroom teacher. Interestingly, she also happens to be a maid.
"Persona 5" players can hire her to clean the house and cook meals and then eventually acquire the ability to take part in other activities such as reading or crafting during class.
The final "Persona 5" confidant introduced so far is Toranosuke Yoshida, who will be an honor to be a close friend as he happens to be one of the honest politicians left, and not many are left.
The politician is all about making Japan a much better place to live in. Hanging around with him in "Persona 5" should allow the protagonist to be an eloquent speaker and all-around charismatic, two characteristics of a great politician.
The protagonist can strike a conversation with him at the Shibuya Station Square. In turn, the hero should have more up his sleeve with regard to negotiations in battle.
Before the reveal of Hifumi, Sadayo and Toranosuke, Atlus actually introduced the first three "Persona 5" confidants a few months back.
One is Cafe Leblanc owner, Sojiro Sakura; Munehisa Iwai, the Untouchable owner of an airsoft gun shop, and lastly, Tae Takemi, who owns a clinic.
"Persona 5" will be released on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe on April 4, 2017.
