'Persona 5' news, update: Atlus to showcase English gameplay version on Twitch this week
Only selected locations around the world have been enjoying Atlus' latest game title, "Persona 5." While the game has only been available in the original Japanese version, many fans can expect a glimpse of the "Persona 5" English gameplay version in the coming days.
As reported by Gematsu, the English-speaking fans will know more about "Persona 5" as the game's first English footage will be released this week. Atlus will live stream the said English gameplay preview on Nov. 16 at 12 p.m. PT (3:00 p.m. ET). The gameplay footage can be viewed on Twitch.
Fans based outside Japan will be able to understand the game's mechanics more clearly, given that the previous teasers were mostly narrated in Japanese. The English gameplay footage of "Persona 5" will coincide with the "Let Us Star the Game" live stream event happening on the same date. Freebies will also be announced for "Persona 5" during the liv stream.
Meanwhile, there is a possibility that a fighting game for "Persona 5" will be released in the near future. As reported by the Anime News Network, a "Persona 5" Arena video game will be in the works soon. "Persona 4 Arena" and "Persona 4 Arena Ultimax" director Kazuhisa Wada recently teased the fans that the fighting game will happen, and they can expect something similar to the action in "Persona 4: Arena." To note, the fighting game for "Persona 4" features all the characters from "Persona 4" and "Persona 3" where the players can choose their own hero to fight anyone who challenges them.
The previous "Persona" fighting game featured Yu Narukami, Yosuke Hanamura, Chie, Aigis, Mitsuru Kijiro and Akihiko Sanada battling it out in a single arena. Likewise, the fans can also expect individual story arc for each player in the planned "Persona 5" arena battle.
"Persona 5" will be available in North America and Europe starting on Feb. 14 next year. The game will be exclusive to Sony's PlayStation consoles, namely the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
