'Persona 5' release date, price news: Launch in 2017; More details at E3
The upcoming role-playing video game, "Persona 5" has recently been announced to get an exclusive release for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on Feb. 14, 2017. It was previously confirmed by game developer Atlus that the game will be released first in Japan in September this year. It appears that Western fans may have to wait for 2017 before they can get the fifth installment of the popular Japanese video game series.
More details with regard to the release will be provided at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016, which is scheduled to start on June 14 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The company revealed that they will be having a live streaming on June 15 for their E3 Persona 5 presentation.
According to the reports, Atlus will release a premium edition of the game called "Take Your Heart." It includes a soundtrack CD with songs from Shoji Meguro, a legendary composer from Japan. It will also feature a 4" Morgana plush, which is the cat mascot in the game, and a 64-page hardcover art book.
According to a report by Forbes, a steelbook case will also be included in the package. It has everything most fans would enjoy to have including a school bag bearing the "Persona 5" design and the Shujin Academy crest.
The company is also said to release a SteelBook Launch Edition exclusive for PlayStation 4. It will carry a price of $59.99, which include many giveaways such as the collectible Persona 5 designed case.
Meanwhile, many fans considered the game a little overdue as it was previously announced to be released in 2015 for both PS3 and PS4. For PS3 players, they can get the premium edition at $89.99. According to reports, players are advised to start with their preorders now as the company only has limited supplies for premium edition.
