'Persona 5' release date expected to be announced at Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016?

It was announced earlier this month that "Persona 5" will be released in Japan on Sept. 15 ahead of its release in the West, which is rumored to be sometime in the third quarter of the year.

Fans may be also be relieved to find out that more information on the role-playing game will be released at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) event on June 12 to 16, as announced by Atlus. Videogame enthusiasts are hoping that the game's release for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 will be soon.

Another rumor has been going around that "Persona 5" will not be coming out this year. Instead it reportedly will come out next year and will launch for play on the new PlayStation 4 Neo. Atlus though has neither confirmed nor denied any of these rumors and has opted to wait for the upcoming E3 event.

For now, fans can excite themselves with the new Persona summons owned by Haru Okumura, Futaba Sakura, and Makoto Niishima, the game's new characters.

Johanna is Niishima's persona that appears as a motorcycle with a human head up front. The name is taken from Pope Joan, who was the first woman pope supposedly elected by the Catholic Church in the Middle Ages. Hacker Sakura's persona is known as Necronomicon which looks like an alien spaceship. This persona can do a lot to help during battles with its ability to provide vital information.

Okumura's persona, known as Milady, is dressed royally and beautifully. However, her appearance is deceiving as it conceals a deadly weapon underneath. The Three Musketeers were the inspiration for the name.

Besides these new personas, there will be seven high school characters as well as Morgana who is a talking cat. The adventure is on as these characters go on a perilous trip as Phantom Thieves, going about stealing hearts of corrupted people in a world known as The Palace.
