Phoenix Suns trade rumors 2016: May trade Bledsoe for Nuggets duo
As they hope to get the right mix of players to continue their rebuild, the Phoenix Suns are linked to move one of their best players to another Western Conference rival.
It is reported that Bledsoe is being pushed for a trade that could possibly see him moved to the Denver Nuggets for a pair of players.
The report believes that the trade will involve Kenneth Faried, who has also been constantly involved in trade rumors, and guard Will Barton as the Nuggets get Bledsoe.
Some fans believe the trade is possible, and though it will not make both teams immediate playoff teams, it is a serious step forward for both as they will cover the needed pieces in their rebuild.
Phoenix already has a lot of guards, and Devin Booker is being considered one of the future stars of the league. The Suns are desperately trying to keep him satisfied by playing him as much as possible.
That makes Bledsoe, a combo guard who loves shooting the ball, a little out of place as he will have to share his minutes and his touches to accommodate Booker.
If the trade pushes through, then the Suns will get a reliable and energetic power forward in Faried, and can get a reliable bench player in Barton.
On the other hand, the Nuggets will get a young player with still so much left in him as Bledsoe is only 26 years old and has steadily improved in the past seasons.
Despite only playing 31 games last year, Bledsoe averaged a career high with 20.4 points per game while shooting 45 percent from the field.
One of the drawbacks is Bledsoe's contract which sees him take $14 million in the coming season and increasing by $500,000 every season until the 2018-19 campaign.
However, the Nuggets need to shoulder that if they want a quality player, and that is what Bledsoe is when he is healthy.
