PlayStation Plus June 2016 free games list update: Will 'NBA 2K16' and 'Gone Home' come to PlayStation 4 in June for free?

The month of June is very close by and gamers are now more than ready to get their hands on the free games which PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) will be offering. While waiting, fans can perhaps rummage through the leak containing the alleged complete list of free games to be given away next by PlayStation Plus next month. They can also check out whether or not the games on their wish list are also on the leaked list. It is also exciting for fans to know that "NBA 2K16" and "Gone Home" might well be on the roster of free games for next month.

Gearnuke reported that the leak was from a newsletter of PlayStation which Sony send blasts to its users. There could have been some glitch in the source code that allowed for the list of next month's free games to be released.

The newsletter enumerates the offerings for PlayStation 4 for the month of May which are "Tropico 5" and "Tabletop Racing: World Tour." What happens is when the page does not load its contents properly, an image of the supposedly May offerings display two other titles namely "Gone Home" and "NBA 2K16." Both of these video games have never been offered in PlayStation Plus. From this incident, avid gamers speculate that the "Gone Home" and "NBA 2K16" will have to be offered by PlayStation Plus this coming June instead.

"NBA 2K16" is the latest installment in the basketball franchise of "2K Sports." On the other hand, "Gone Home" is an adventure exploration indie video game.

Should there be truth to the leaked information, then June's game offerings will rather be surprising since previously, PlayStation 4 would get mostly indie titles while PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita would enjoy some quality titles from the service. Sony allegedly offering an AAA title this time is a deviation from its usual PlayStation Plus free games giveaway routine.
