'Pokémon GO' bugs, issues & latest news: players frustrated with giant Pokémon seen in the game; Nearby Feature the culprit?
Players of "Pokémon GO" are currently facing issues with the mobile game, particularly with the Pokémon that are suddenly transforming into gigantic sizes without any reason. The bug has been going around for days and it is believed that it has been caused by the improved Nearby Feature.
"Pokémon GO" took the world by storm when it was released this year. The augmented reality mobile game was a sudden hit due to the unique gameplay it offers, giving the players a chance to connect with the Pokémon characters in the real world.
However, over time, the number of players of "Pokémon GO" gradually decreased despite Niantic's effort to keep the game interesting to all. The company consistently rolled out updates and even organized several events to keep the loyalty of the fans and hopefully bring back those who gave up on the game.
The recent "Pokémon GO" bug may further cause the number of players to decrease as some players noticed that the favorite Pokémon suddenly blows into gigantic sizes. Kotaku showed a number of screenshots, revealing that the humongous characters have occupied the player's map.
The "Pokémon GO" issue happens when the players access their profile icon, in which their Buddy Pokémon would appear on the screen with a gigantic size. This will appear for several seconds until the character returns to its original size.
The glitch seen was amusing to some, but frustrating for many. The players' frustration got more severe when another bug was seen on the gamers' notification. Apparently, "Pokémon GO" has been sending wrong vibration messages to the players.
Niantic has already acknowledged the problem and promised to roll out a patch to fix the issues observed. Players believe that the bugs and issues seen are due to the Nearby Feature that Niantic has recently released.
However, the game developer has yet to release an official statement regarding the cause of the "Pokémon GO" bugs and issues.
