Niantic Labs has strengthened its efforts to end cheating in "Pokemon Go," but if there is something that the developer has not fully banned yet, it is the IV (individual values) calculator.

According to SlashGear, despite the nature of the application, it still manages to sneak past the watchful eyes of Niantic. One of the IV calculators still accessible at the time of this writing is PGNexus.

However, the abovementioned site says that Niantic could be purposely keeping it live in order to easily find "Pokemon Go" cheaters.

It is advised that players can use "Pokemon Go" IV calculators undetected by using those that do not need log-ins, such as the Poke Assistant.

With this, players can use the application even without keying their account details, which means they will not be traced by Niantic. The account of the player won't be connected to the third-party app, making it safe to use.

There are also online IV calculators that "Pokemon Go" players can take advantage of. These sites usually do not request users to log in.

As IV calculators continue to go unnoticed, Niantic has released an update for the game, this time removing the game's support on jailbroken and rooted devices.

"We continue to focus on eliminating bots and scrapers from Pokemon Go. Rooted or jailbroken devices are not supported by Pokemon Go," Niantic stated in its latest update.

However, Android users appear to have already found a workaround for this, thanks to a Reddit user by the name TheJakeGaming who mentioned a flashable zip called Magisk. Users can read about it here.

The same update also adds the Buddy Pokemon system, where players can choose one Pokemon to walk with them during the game. The chosen creature appears on the player's avatar as well as on the map.

The same update also prepares the game for "Pokemon Go" Plus support, which will be available on Sept. 16.
