'Pokemon Sun and Moon' anime release date, latest news: Series will air on Disney XD on December
"Pokémon Sun" and "Pokémon Moon" has already been released in some regions and the animated series will also be airing soon in North America. It is anticipated to air in the western region this coming December. The first few episodes have already premiered in Japan during the past week.
It has been reported recently the new season of the long-running animated series will premiere soon on Disney XD. The network has picked up the "Pokémon Sun and Moon" series and with this two episodes will already air during its premiere. Also, "Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel" will also be shown alongside the series.
The new animated series from the "Pokémon" franchise will bring Ash and Pikachu in a new region called Alola. Ash was supposed to only have a vacation during his stay there, but he was interested in the new region so much that he decided to stay there with Pikachu, One of the new elements that can be found in the show is that it is the first time that the main protagonist will be going to school.
Furthermore, the first episodes were already aired in Japan and it showed Ash meeting one of the guardian deities of Alola which is Tapu Koko. His encounter with the creature is very special since he was given a Z-Bracelet and Crystal. With this, Pikachu can now execute a deadly attack that can surely give them an upper hand in a battle. Ash also encountered some new characters like Lilie and Professor Kukui.
On the other hand, there were some fans that were not exactly happy with the show since the animation style is very different. People described the drawing very goofy and have made Ash look very immature, but other fans seem to disagree since it offered a different vibe rather than a series tone.
The animated series, "Pokémon Sun and Moon" will air in North America on Dec. 5 on Disney XD.
