Though "Prison Break" supposedly ended with its fourth season back in 2009, a fifth season is in the works and it's set to come out next year. Reports say that this time around, Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) will find himself locked up in a prison in Yemen, and he will need the help of his brother Lincoln (Dominic Purcell) to bust his way out.

Reports are saying that this upcoming season of "Prison Break" may have Scofield meeting his son for the first time. The end of the fourth season had fans assuming that Scofield died, but it looks like he's back for more — and he's in more trouble than ever.

"Prison Break" fans will also be happy to hear that, aside from the return of Miller, Purcell and Sarah Wayne Callies (Sara Scofield), there will also be an appearance from original cast members like Amaury Nolasco (Fernando Sucre) and Robert Knepper (Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell).

Sucre was better known as Scofield's cellmate in Fox River and T-Bag was one of the most notorious members of the Fox River Eight.

It has been previously rumored that this season of "Prison Break" will be based on Homer's "Odyssey," meaning that the story will start with a character who everyone assumed was dead. That story also had the protagonist battling wave after wave of monsters and challenges, all in a goal to return to his family.

This next season is also said to have Scofield's past returning to haunt him as the terrorist group that he used to work for will be hunting him down this season. Rumors are even suggesting that this season may see the death of Lincoln.

With the original cast and showrunners returning, "Prison Break" season 5 may be just what the fans wanted after all these years.

"Prison Break" season five is expected to come out next year.
