'Quantico' season 2 spoilers: Harry's secrets to be revealed

The secrets that Harry (Russell Tovey) had been keeping for so long will be finally unveiled when the second half of "Quantico" season 2 returns to ABC in early 2017.

In an interview with TVLine, showrunner Joshua Safran teased that the series will look further into the backstory of the charming but mysterious MI-6 agent.

"After we came up with the Alex-and-Ryan spine for the season, we came up with the Harry story, way back in June," Safran said in the interview. "A lot happens with that storyline between now and the near future."

Harry was last seen in the midseason finale of "Quantico" season 2, when he returned home to England to debrief his handler Charlotte (Lara Pulver), who also turned out to be the sister of his late former boyfriend Elliot. He even spent the holidays with her and her family.

While viewers were kept in the dark about the circumstances regarding Elliot's death, Charlotte's husband Pip (Bradley Rose) seemed to have given a hint when they talked about Charlotte and Elliot's abusive father. Will Harry try to find out if Charlotte and Elliot's dad has something to do with the latter's death?

According to the showrunner, some of the questions about Harry will be discussed in the upcoming episodes of "Quantico" season 2. Some of it includes the significance of Elliot's death, "how it impacts him, the present-day with Sebastian and with Alex, and the surprising reveals that he uncovers, which leads to the thesis of the show in my mind, which is: 'Nobody's just one thing.'"

Fans of the series would also want to find out what is next for Alex Parrish (Priyanka Chopra) and Ryan Booth (Jake McLaughlin), especially after it was revealed that Ryan was one of the terrorists from the Citizens Liberation Front.

The midseason premiere of "Quantico" season 2 airs on ABC on Monday, Jan. 23, 2017.
