'Rainbow Six Siege' DLC release date, news: More details about 'Operation Red Crow' coming this week
The fourth and final downloadable content (DLC) for "Rainbow Six Siege" is coming and its official title has just been revealed.
Days before the promised exclusive reveal during the upcoming Rainbow 6 Pro League season 3, the official Twitter account of the first-person shooter game has just posted an image revealing the title of the next big content update, which will also be the last for this game.
Following a previous teaser tweet that featured a crow against a red background and a caption in Japanese that translated to "the time has come," this new image featured what seems to be a whirlwind of crows in flight framed by the title, "Operation Red Crow" on top and a seemingly stamped image on the bottom left consisting of four kanji characters.
The tweet also promised that further intel on the game will be shared anytime this week.
It has already been teased earlier that the upcoming "Rainbow Six Siege" update will be adding a new Japanese-themed level along with two new Japanese operators, some additional weapons, multiplayer maps, and a host of improvements to keep both new and longtime players on their toes with a smoother gaming experience.
Another tweet posted by Twitter user named JonKay20 on Oct. 25 featured a two-minute video of what appeared to be a snippet from the upcoming DLC's new Japanese-themed map that has reportedly been leaked online. The video, however, did not reveal anything else beyond the new map. No concrete details were shown about the game's upcoming offensive and defensive operators in regards to their skills and weapons of choice.
But a full reveal and live demo is coming during the Rainbow 6 Pro League season three finals on Nov. 12 and 13. An official release date is also expected to be announced during this event.
While free multiplayer maps will be added for all players of "Rainbow Six Siege," only those with a season pass will get access to the new operators on the day that they are released. Non-season pass holders will have to wait for a week until the operators are made available for purchase.
