Rainbow Six Siege update brings new map, improved version of Tachanka
A midseason patch has been released for "Rainbow Six Siege" that comes with several major contents.
Ubisoft unveiled a major patch update Thursday, Dec. 15. It comes with a new map, bug fixes, as well as an improved version of Tachanka.
The latest "Rainbow Six Siege" patch introduces the redesigned Bartlett University map that was customized for player versus player (PvP). The new map took away all the gas and player versus environment (PvE) elements that were available in the first design. It also features an improved destruction with a new two-layer destruction as well as an enhanced visual layout.
The new patch also comes out with a better version of Tachanka, who was considered as the weakest Operator in the game. But the game developers know that he is one of the most loved Operators in spite of being the weakest one.
The game developers acknowledge that there are problems in the stopping power of Tachanka's turret as well as his lack of mobility. "In order to introduce a counter to this weakness, we've added a shield in front of the turret which protects him from frontal headshots," Ubisoft stated on the game's official website. "The objective is for Tachanka to be the king of the angle that he positioned into, while being very vulnerable to other angles," they added.
Ubisoft also added recoil and some spread to Tachanka's gun to lessen the strong point of the shielded turret when used in long distances.
Other Operators were also given minor changes, including the addition of another Cluster Charge for Fuze, the inclusion of a fourth Battery to Bandit, the better deployment options for Smoke's Gas Canisters, as well as the better balance in Blackbeard's killing efficiency.
There are also several bug fixes that came out with the new "Rainbow Six Siege" update. These can be seen on the game's official website.
