'Real Housewives of New York' news: Court grants Jules Wainstein restraining order against estranged husband

A family court in New York has recently granted "Real Housewives of New York City" star Jules Wainstein a temporary restraining order against soon-to-be-ex-husband Michael Wainstein following police intervention last Wednesday. The New York Police Department received a call in their neighborhood reporting disturbance from Wainstein home.

"When officers showed up they spoke to both parties and advised for each, if they felt threatened by the other, to file a restraining order," NYPD said adding that no arrests were made after checking the Wainsteins to see what's going on, Entertainment Online reported.

Both parties appeared in court where Michael was ordered to restrain from her estranged wife while their divorce is ongoing. After eight years of marriage, the two decided to part ways in announcement last June. Since then, Jules and Michael's relationship appears to be on an irreparable course. The recent police intervention wasn't the first time. Two months ago, Jules also called the police after Michael allegedly threatened her while in a heated argument.

Meanwhile, Michael responded in statement through his lawyer saying that throughout the course of his rocky eight-year-marriage with Jules, she repeatedly calls the authorities to their home and make up stories about his alleged abusive conduct toward his wife. As reported by Us Magazine, the situation has gotten worse when the police advised her to stop making false claims and waste the time of the law enforcement officers.

In response, a spokesperson for Jules said in a statement that unlike Michael and his legal counsel, the "Real Housewives" cast member will not resort to taking the issue between them to the press while the divorce proceedings are underway.

She is concerned about the welfare and privacy of their children and feels that is what a courtroom is for. They're due in court very soon," Jules' official statement continued, as reported by People.
