Despite Rockstar Games' failure to announce the highly anticipated sequel of "Red Dead Redemption" at the recently concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016, it has continued to become a favorite subject of rumors and speculations all over the Internet. Many fans were certainly left disappointed when "Red Dead Redemption 2" became a no-show at the E3 event. However, some fans are still positive that the game developer will provide solid details about the upcoming second installment before 2016 ends.

Prior to E3, fans and critic predicted that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will become the highlight of Take-Two Interactive's presser during the event. The company was supposed to release a trailer of the game during Sony's E3 press conference; however, due to the recent deadly mass shooting in Orlando, Rockstar Games decided to cancel the announcement of the sequel.

Meanwhile, the vice president for third party relations and developer technology of Sony, Adam Boyes, has quickly denied the rumor stating that the company's program did not include "Red Dead Redemption 2." Boyes added that the itinerary of the program has been finalized many months ago.

"@RyanDungey_ no, this is not true. The length and content we showed have been locked and unchanged for months," Boyes explained in a Twitter post following a question from a fan.

In related news, there are speculations suggesting that the upcoming "Red Dead Redemption 2" will feature a multiplayer mode. According to the reports, gamers will be given the opportunity to battle it out with each other online in various "Red Dead Redemption" maps.

Christian Today also reported that fans should not expect the game to come out anytime soon as it may take a few more years before Rockstar Games starts with the development of the sequel. For now, fans will have to wait for the company to provide significant details with regard to the game.
