Rockstar Games is hard at work on "Red Dead Redemption 2." In fact, the development of the highly anticipated western shooter could affect the post-launch support for "Grand Theft Auto 5" ("GTA 5").

According to well-known "GTA" tipster Yan2295, some of the developers from Rockstar North, which focuses on the "GTA" franchise, are helping Rockstar San Diego on putting together "Red Dead Redemption 2."

This means that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is deep into its development. This could be bad news for those who have been hoping to see more content for "GTA 5 Online."

From the looks of it, Rockstar is serious in bringing out its much-awaited western hit's follow-up by fall of this year. However, many expect it might not make it there anyway.

The developer is known for missing initial deadlines it set for its releases. "Red Dead Redemption 2" is deemed to be another massive release for the studio and one that is highly anticipated by millions of fans.

Rockstar would want to make it perfect and worth it than beat the deadline with an average game. That being said, the developer could end up missing the fall 2017 release.

As for the expected multiplayer mode for "Red Dead Redemption 2," Rockstar is expected to release it on a much later date, much like its approach with "GTA 5."

As for when new details about the "Red Dead Redemption" follow-up will arrive, rumor has it that there won't be any in the coming months. Rockstar is expected to provide new information by June.

The last time the studio talked about "Red Dead Redemption 2" was when it made the game official back in October with a trailer.

Historically, Rockstar would be silent for months after a trailer reveal. At least this is what it did with the first "Red Dead Redemption" game so it might be a while before fans hear about the sequel.
