Republican National Convention 2016: RNC Dates, Speakers and Schedule; CBS News TV and Live Stream details

The 2016 Republican National Convention (RNC) is set to begin on Monday, July 18. The event, which will highlight the main themes of Republican Presidential Nominee Donald Trump's campaign, will be held at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio.

The convention, carrying the theme "Make America Great Again," will be attended by thousands of delegates from across the country, including people from the District of Columbia and five other territories. There will also be the presence of thousands of official credentialed media to cover the event, and online coverage will also be available for audiences to view.

Among the invited guests include political outsiders such as Peter Thiel, PayPal co-founder and the first openly gay speaker to make his way to the Republican convention. Other speakers include Las Vegas casino owner Phil Ruffin, model-turned-actor Antonio Sabato Jr., and some survivors of the 2012 attack on the American consulate in Libya.

On the other hand, American football star Tim Tebow, who was previously reported to make an appearance, has clarified that all talks of him going to RNC are nothing but hearsays.

In a video he posted on Facebook Thursday, July 14, the former NFL quarterback said, "I wake up this morning to find out that I'm speaking at the Republican National Convention . . . It's amazing how fast rumors fly. And that's exactly what it is, a rumor."

With the event happening next week, many are expecting an official schedule of all the speakers at the RNC to make its way to the public. In the meantime, the 2016 RNC CEO Jeff Larson has recently released a partial list of the confirmed speakers to join the four-day event. Aside from church leaders and other non-political participants, the list includes key political leaders such as Sen. Tom Cotton, Sen. Joni Ernst, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin, and more.

The entire convention closes on Thursday, July 21, and presidential Republican candidate Trump is expected to give his closing remarks on the final session of the 2016 RNC. The convention will be shown via TV broadcast on CBS News, or on CBS News' live stream.
