'Resident Evil 7' release date updates: New gameplay trailer coming up at Tokyo Game Show 2016
More details are coming up as the upcoming horror thriller video game sequel "Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" will be among the titles to be showcased at the Tokyo Game Show 2016. Capcom has also teased the fans with new zombie enemies and character images.
The fans can expect that Capcom will release a brand new game demo video at the Tokyo Game Show event this year, as the Japanese game developer company will be unveiling their game offerings scheduled in the coming months. As reported by Yibada, Capcom will be featuring "Resident Evil 7" in the event along with "Monster Hunter Spirits," "Monster Hunter Stories," and "Toraware no Palm."
Gematsu reported that Capcom will be revealing more info regarding the gameplay of "Resident Evil 7," and the new demo will show more specifics of the video game. The Tokyo Game Show 2016 will run from Sept. 15 to 18.
Before the said event, Capcom has already begun teasing the fans with new details regarding the game. Just recently, new zombie characters were teased by Capcom in the CEDEC 2016, IGN Japan reported. The names of these terrifying zombies are not yet disclosed, but their features are so distinct that people will be able to identify them by only basing on their looks. Some of these zombie characters include a blond woman, a man with a clear haircut, and another fearsome man with a huge mallet. Also, it was revealed that the name of the main protagonist of "Resident Evil 7" will be Ethan, and he will be using a wide range of weapons to fight off the zombies. He can use handguns, shotguns, explosives, flamethrowers and even a chainsaw.
Perhaps one of the most interesting new addition in the new "Resident Evil" installment is a new type of creature that Capcom described to be "zombie-like," although they commented that the term may be too vague to perfectly explain the creature's nature. Nevertheless, the new "Resident Evil" creature will bear the resemblance of the previous zombie characters. Game Rant reported that there might also be creatures similar to the Tyrant, or the Los Ganados and Maijini from "Resident Evil 4."
"Resident Evil 7: Biohazard" will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC platforms on Jan. 14, 2017.
