Things are bound to get even more exciting in the upcoming second episode of The CW's new TV series, "Riverdale."

In the show's first episode, it was revealed that Archie (K.J. Apa) had a summer fling with his teacher, Geraldine Grundy (guest star Sarah Habel). Veronica (Camila Mendes) has just arrived in town while Betty (Lili Reinhart) attempts to take her friendship with Archie to a whole new level.

The darker elements of the show's storyline soon began to unravel. Veronica's father turns out to be involved in a financial scandal. Archie and Grundy may have knowledge about Jason's mysterious death. Betty, on the other hand, hides a psychological secret.

Based on the synopsis published on Spoiler TV, season 1 episode 2 of "Riverdale" will be continuing with new information about Jason's death.

In the upcoming episode, Archie will have to convince Miss Grundy to come forward with what they heard at Sweetwater River. Meanwhile, Betty will make an effort to mend her friendship with Archie while also taking a different stance with Veronica, who will be trying to make up for her actions.

With rumors around her brother's death spreading like wildfire, Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) will deal with the pressure in true Queen Bee fashion. Jughead (Cole Sprouse), on the other hand, stumbles upon a secret Archie was hoping to keep hidden.

Despite the ongoing chaos in the town, plans for the annual fall pep rally move forward, with Josie (Ashleigh Murray) and the Pussycats performing at the event.

A trailer for "Riverdale" season 1 episode 2 has also been released. A clip shows Archie talking to Miss Grundy about their affair and Jason's death as their romance continues to heat up. Another clip shows Archie running after a visibly-upset Betty, while another scene shows him walking with Veronica.

"Riverdale" season 1 episode 2, titled "A Touch of Evil," was written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa and directed by Lee Toland Krieger. The next episode will air on Feb. 2, 2017 on The CW.
