Samsung may have had problems with the Galaxy Note 7 but it doesn't mean they're stopping in their paths anytime soon. They are pushing on and planning to launch more devices in the coming months.

In fact, they may even be releasing a new Chromebook soon. The rumor mill has been packed lately with news regarding a Samsung Chromebook Pro, which was codenamed "Kevin."

According to reports, the South Korean tech giant is busy developing a contender against the Apple MacBook Pro 2016 and Microsoft Surface Pro 5.

Although nothing has been confirmed yet, Sammobile reported that the Samsung Chromebook Pro will be sporting a 12.3-inch touchscreen display with 3:2 aspect ratio. Its resolution, 2400 x 1600, will be matched with 400 nit brightness. The device is also said to be very flexible with its 360-degree hinge.

It is said to be equipped under the hood with a 2 GHz hexa-core processor which includes two Cortex A-72 cores and four Cortex-A53 cores. It's also said to come with 32 GB native storage space with 4 GB of RAM. As for its operating system, reports said that it will be running on the Chrome OS. This means that users will be able to run Android apps since Google already added the Play Store to the Chrome OS.

Moreover, rumors also say that the Chromebook Pro will be the first to feature a stylus that is Wacom active. It's said moniker is the PEN and a built-in slot will be available in the laptop for its storage. At just 1.08 kilograms and 13.9 millimeters thin, the laptop is expected to be convenient in terms of portability. The laptop is also said to provide up to 10 hours of battery life.

Official details are still nowhere to be found but it's reported to cost around $500. Interested consumers should stay tuned for more details which are expected to be released soon.
