It is clear that the while LG aims to attract consumers with its curved concept phone, the LG G Flex 2, Samsung plans to impress the same bunch with its premium full metal phone the Galaxy A7.

Design

The G Flex 2 comes with a screen and plastic body that curves from the top to the bottom. It also has an improved self-healing coating at its back which can get rid of minor scratches within 10 seconds. The Galaxy A7, meanwhile, has a premium full metal body and is very slender at 6.3 mm. Its metal unibody is a major departure from the plastic frames and back panels that previous smartphones and phablets from the company sported.

Display

The display on the Galaxy A7 is a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 401 pixels per inch, while the G Flex 2 has a curved P-OLED screen measuring 5.5 inches with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 403 pixels per inch.

Specs

The G Flex 2 comes with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, a quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU and Adreno 430 GPU. As for the Galaxy A7 its dual SIM model will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset coupled with a quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & quad-core 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU, while its LTE model will have a Exynos 5 Octa 5430 chipset coupled with q quad-core 1.8 Cortex-A15 GHz & quad-core 1.3 Cortex-A7 GHz CPU.

Memory

In terms of memory slots, the Galaxy A7 has one that can be used to add external storage of up to 64 GB while 128 GB can be added to the G Flex 2. As for RAM, the Galaxy A7 will have 2 GB while the 16 GB G Flex 2 will have 2 GB RAM and its 32 GB version will come with 3 GB RAM.

Price

The Galaxy A7 is rumored to cost around $410 without a contract, while the LG G Flex 2 could have a retail price of $680.
