Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro update, specs news: 6-inch display, 6 GB of RAM, 16-MP camera
Samsung has finally released the anticipated Galaxy C9 Pro to the Chinese market. The device was listed online before its official launch so many were already expecting its arrival.
According to reports, the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro is still a mid-range device. But just as its "Pro" name suggests, the new handset carries specs and features that make it almost premium. As expected, the smartphone comes with a metal build at the rear with curved edges to match its curved glass in front.
It sports a 6-inch full HD display with 1,920 x 1,080 pixels resolution and a Super AMOLED feature. Under the hood, one can find the new Qualcomm octa-core Snapdragon 653 chipset paired with a whopping 6 GB of RAM. It's actually the first Samsung device with 6 GB of RAM so users can expect efficient multitasking because of this.
For its storage space, the standard device carries 64 GB but a microSD card slot is available for further expansion. One can also notice that the device is like Oppo's R9s and R9s Plus because of the reduced antenna bands. The Galaxy C9 Pro comes with only three thin lines now, which maximizes the use of the metal.
Reports also detailed that the device supports dual-sim functions. It is also 4G-enabled. It is pre-installed with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and offers Samsung Pay support. There is no word yet if the handset will get an Android 7.0 Nougat update soon.
As for the camera features, the device comes with a 16-megapixel camera not just only at the rear but also at the front. Both cameras have an aperture of f/1.9 but only the rear comes with a dual-LED flash.
Moreover, the device also sports a fingerprint scanner located at the physical home button. Powering it up is a 4,000 mAh battery with fast charging support.
Available colors for the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro are Rose Gold and Gold. Its price is 3,199 Yuan or $470.
