Samsung Galaxy Note 4 vs Droid Turbo Specs, Price Review: Features Comparison Reveals Similar Specs But Very Different Phones

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has often been judged as the best phablet of 2014. It even managed to outrank the iPhone 6 Plus. But when compared to Motorola's powerful Droid Turbo, the Galaxy Note 4 has a fight on its hands as both phones have similar processors.

Design

The Galaxy Note 4 has a robust but elegant design with its metal frame and sides that gives it a premium look. As for the rest of the phone, it is largely made of polycarbonate and its back panel has a fake leather finish on it. Compared to this, the Droid Turbo has a plastic build and square edges. It turns out to be pretty heavy due to its large battery. As for its back panel, it comes with either ballistic nylon or Kevlar. A major advantage on the Note 4 is its S Pen stylus that is extremely helpful.

Display

The Droid Turbo has a smaller 5.2-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and density of 565 pixels per inch. The Note 4 has a Super AMOLED screen measuring 5.7 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 515 pixels per inch.

Platform

Both devices come with the Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system and can be upgraded to the latest Lollipop 5.0 version. As for their specs, the Note 4 and the Droid Turbo both come with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, Quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU.

Camera

The Note 4 comes with a 16 megapixel camera at its rear which is enhanced by optical image stabilization. The Droid Turbo it has a 21 megapixel version at its rear.

Battery

Battery life on the Droid Turbo is a major plus point as its 3900 mAh battery can provide 48 hours of talk time, while the 3220 mAh battery on the Note 4 provides 20 hours of talk time.

Price

The Galaxy Note 4 is priced at $299 with a two-year contract while the Droid Turbo costs $199 with a similar contract.
