Even with the Galaxy Note 4 only being a couple of months old (it was introduced back in September 2014), there are already a lot of Galaxy Note 5 rumors flying around.

According to some reports, the Galaxy Note 5 will be released in Q3 2015.

It will be the first smartphone to feature a 3840x2160 pixel Ultra HD, 4K display. This will probably be the bigger brother of the heavily rumored Samsung Galaxy S6.

Apart from the 4K panel, it is rumored that Note 5 will move to a Nexus 6-rivalling near 6-inch form factor (specifically a 5.9-inch form-factor). It will have improved memory components, which will allow the device to handle more significant multitasking activities.

Samsung has been known to launch Galaxy S product lines during the Mobile World Congress. However, the Berlin-based IFA (Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) conference, touted as the biggest European gadget in existence, is when most of the Note products are launched.

This of course suggests that the Galaxy Note 5 will be launched in September 2015. IFA is scheduled to run between Sept. 4 and 9. We might expect the unveiling of the Note 5 immediately before, potentially on Sept. 2, as the European trade show is usually preceded by a lot of press days and key announcements.

Unlike Apple, which usually gets its new items into consumers' hands within 10 days of unveiling, Samsung usually makes its public wait. If the announcement is made on Sept. 2, then the Note 5 may be in stores early October 2015.

The Galaxy Note 5 will definitely be launched with the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, which brings with it the 64-bit CPU support to the Android platform. It is expected to run either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor or a newer, as yet unconfirmed chipset. It is also speculated that the mainstream Qualcomm powered Note 5 will be joined by an Exynos loving option in certain markets. Both handsets are rumored to run a massive 4GB of RAM and increased storage options (up to 128 GB) as well as microSD support.

So will Samsung be a creature of habit and release Galaxy Note 5 in September 2015 or will it pull a surprise and accept the fact that the smartphone market is very volatile and release earlier? We will just need to stay tuned for any official announcements.
