Samsung Galaxy Note 7 release date, specs news 2016: Samsung gearing up for August release of new hybrid phablet?
Rumors have continued to become rampant about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 7. According to the latest reports, the highly anticipated hybrid smartphone/tablet is said to come out in August 2016.
There are reports saying that the South Korean tech company will hold an event in New York City on Aug. 2 to unveil the new phablet. Although not much has been said with regard to the device's development and release date, fans and critics have already shared their predictions on what the upcoming hybrid will offer on the table.
Previous reports have already suggested that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 will carry 6 GB of RAM, which will be paired with a quad-core Snapdragon 820 from Qualcomm. It is also said to have amazing features as the device is expected to go head to head against the upcoming Apple iPhone 7. The seventh generation iPhone 7 is also expected to be launched by the Cupertino-based company in September this year.
Meanwhile, recent leaked images posted on Weibo showed the upcoming handset's exterior design and details about its upcoming features.
Basing on the photos, it appears that the Galaxy Note 7 will sport a new camera technology and an iris scanner system. The leaked details have also included an instruction on how to set up the amazing feature for the very first time.
If rumors prove to be true, the iris scanner technology on the Galaxy Note 7 is going to be interesting once the device arrives in the market.
Other features of the device include a 13-megapixel primary snapper with LED flash and a 5-MP front-facing camera. According to Time News , the phablet will house a 64 GB onboard storage capacity. Whether the device's storage is expandable or not, it has yet to be reported.
