Samsung Galaxy S6 Price Review: Phone Costlier in Europe; Cheapest Model at $849
The Samsung Galaxy S6 was unveiled on March 1 with the device's release expected in April.
Rumors are that the price of the smartphone will start at $849 for the 32GB model, $963 for the 64 GB model and $1,076 for the 128GB model.
The report originated from Ars Technica which spoke to an anonymous source from one of the carriers.
Forbes noted that it is difficult to calculate the pricing of smartphones in the U.S. based on European prices because in Europe Value Added Tax (VAT) is added to the price. It said after removing the VAT from the prices that have been rumored for the Galaxy S6, the 32GB curved screen model could be priced at $794 and the standard version could cost $693.
One reason behind the price increase is that Samsung has finally left behind the plastic frame of its smartphones and instead opted for a unibody metal frame for its Galaxy S6.
Moreover, the smartphone will have high-end hardware and an improved camera.
