The Galaxy S6, the latest metal and glass smartphone from Samsung, faces stiff competition from Motorola's Droid Turbo which has good specs and superb battery life.

Design

In terms of design, the Droid Turbo does not have much going for it, and it comes with a number of dated elements including capacitive keys. In addition, the phone is almost completely made from plastic. It does have a metal frame along its edge. As for its back panel, it is covered in material glass combined with Kevlar and is available in two colors: red and black. It also has a ballistic nylon version. As for the Galaxy S6, this phone undoubtedly aims to be classy. It is extremely slim compared to its competitor. It has a premium aluminum frame which is covered with Gorilla 4 Glass on its front and back panel.

Display

The display on the Galaxy S6 and the Droid Turbo are both of good quality. The Galaxy S6 has a super AMOLED screen measuring 5.1 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 577 pixels per inch. The Droid Turbo has a super AMOLED screen measuring 5.2 inches with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 565 pixels per inch.

Specs

Released last year, the Droid Turbo has some of the best specs available. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, a quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and an Adreno 420 GPU. As for the Galaxy S6, it has an Exynos 7420 chipset, a quad-core CPU with four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and four Cortex-A57 cores clocked at 2.1 GHz along with a Mali-T760 GPU.

Memory

These two devices do not have memory slots and so external storage cannot be added. In terms of RAM both devices have 3 GB.

Battery

The Galaxy S6 has a smaller 2550 mAh battery that is non-removable, but it is estimated that the device will be easier to charge as it has a wireless charging function. As for the Droid Turbo, it has a 3900 mAh battery which can last for about two days.

Price

The Droid Turbo is priced at $200 with a two-year contract, while the Galaxy S6 could cost around $699 in its unlocked form.
