Samsung Galaxy S7 Active release date, specs news: Leaks include photos and specs; Launch date on June 10?
Alleged full specs, renders and release date of the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active have been leaked. The leaked photos of the alleged Galaxy S7 Active show the front and rear sides of the phone and the screen displays what is presumed to be the smartphone's launch date, June 10.
The leaked details about the new Samsung device and its launch have been reported by Venturebeat, although without verified sources. The site reports that the Galaxy S7 Active model will be an AT&T exclusive.
According to the latest specs sheet, the handset will be 9.9 mm thick and 185 g heavy. It will run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4 GB RAM, 32 GB storage and Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It will also feature a 5.1-inch QHD Super AMOLED display and 12MP and 5MP rear and front-facing camera, respectively.
Earlier in May, there were already several alleged renders of the Galaxy S7 Active that were revealed via the Vietnam-based tech website SamsungVN. The pictures showed the supposed Galaxy S7 Active, as it bore the label "Galaxy S7 active," in a protective holder and looking similar to the Galaxy S7. The back panel appeared to have digital camouflage shading. A clear display of the AT&T logo on the rear panel could also be related to the added speculation that the model would come exclusively with the U.S. telecommunications network.
Earlier Galaxy Active models have resilient and heavy-duty body shell and the water-resistance feature. Reports suggest that this type of exterior will still be a well-defined and notable feature in the upcoming S7 Active, only in a much more durable fashion and at a higher quality level.
Although leaked information on the Samsung Galaxy S7 Active may seem to have truth to them, it is still relatively early as far as rumors are concerned to know for certain the differences that the S7 Active will have to offer from its preceding models and if it will prove to be better than its predecessors.
