Following the successful release of Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, consumers have shifted their focus to the next flagship smartphone model, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Edge. Certainly, Samsung has a tough challenge ahead of them as they will try to achieve the same success they have on the current flagship device on the upcoming Galaxy S8. According to the latest reports, The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Edge will be launch in April 2017.

In a report by Trusted Reviews, the South Korean tech giant is said to be developing the upcoming handset focusing on the virtual reality or VR aspect. According to tech observers, Samsung will make sure to provide a device in 2017 that will give users better VR experience. There are speculations suggesting that the new Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Edge will have a full 4K/UHD display support. It is also expected to carry a dual-lens camera feature with a large image sensor at 1/1.7.

Despite the company's continued silence with regard to the next flagship smartphone's development and release date, tech experts and fans have already predicted that it will come with the latest Snapdragon 830 chipset from Qualcomm. There are also rumors saying that the device will support 2K and 4K video recording. What's interesting is that the device is rumored to run with 8GB of RAM and an impressive GPU system in Adreno 530.

Meanwhile, there are speculations suggesting that the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Edge will carry a 5.2-inch AMOLED screen with an 806 ppi pixel density. However, there are also rumors saying that the device may arrive with a bigger 5.5-inch display system.

The main camera of the device is said to be at 12 MP, while the selfie shooter will have 9 MP.

For now, Samsung has yet to confirm these reports. Until then, all rumors and speculations must be taken with a grain of salt.
