Samsung Galaxy S8 release date news 2016: Gear 360 Pro to come with flagship?
Samsung will make massive camera improvements in their next flagship, Samsung Galaxy S8. One of these upgrades will come in the form of the so-called Gear 360 Pro.
According to Sammobile, the Gear 360 Pro will be the follow-up to the Gear 360, the all-viewing camera, released for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge, which, as its name suggests, allows users to capture 360-degree field of view.
Samsung only had limited supplies of Gear 360 as it was only made to test the waters about its impact on users. It appears that fans loved it since the Gear 360 Pro is coming, ready to make the Samsung Galaxy S8 better.
Not much is known about it yet, but Sammobile says the Gear 360 Pro promises "improved image and video quality" as well as additional features. It will also be released alongside the Samsung Galaxy S8.
The flagship being an excellent device has become a much bigger deal following the problems that spoiled the otherwise successful release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 has become a hotter topic lately following the exploding battery mishap of the Note phablet. The S7 successor is now expected to be released much earlier because of this issue.
As far as the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is rumored to do away its headphone jack as well and will be looking into the use of Type C-USB audio support.
As per Digital Music News, the source of the report, "Samsung's proprietary jack would be designed with all Android manufacturers in mind, with easy and cost-free (or extremely low-cost) licensing to encourage adoption."
With this change, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to be thinner and with improved battery life, which are two of the advantages of removing the headphone jack.
In addition, the Samsung Galaxy S8 is also said to come in two versions, but both will sport curved displays with the size being the only difference. One will be 5.1 inches while the other is reportedly 5.5 inches.
