Samsung Galaxy S8 release date, specs rumors update: Next gen Galaxy S smartphone to feature a powerful processor

Following the successful release of Samsung Galaxy S7, fans and critics have already started to share their predictions on what the Samsung Galaxy S8 will offer once it hits the market next year. The Korean tech giant will reportedly be adding impressive specs and advanced features for the next flagship smartphone. There are speculations circulating all over the internet suggesting that the upcoming device will run on a Samsung Exynos 8895 processor.

According to a report by Mobipicker, the powerful Samsung chipset could be faster than Apple's upcoming A10 processor. There are even speculations saying that the Exynos 8895 is more powerful than the highly anticipated Snapdragon 830 processor from Qualcomm.

If the rumors prove to be true, Samsung will again take over the smartphone market. At the moment, the company is concentrating on the upcoming launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7. However, it is only a matter of time before the company will start providing significant details regarding the Samsung Galaxy S8.

Nonetheless, there are also reports saying that Samsung might go with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 830 processor. The device is also expected to support 4K display resolution, which is why they need to get a top-tier processor.

Samsung could be taking a major risk with their plan to improve the design of the next generation Galaxy S smartphone. There are speculations suggesting that Samsung might ditch the flat-screen design and will only release a curved screen model.

"Samsung has considered that it would make the edge display as the identity of the Galaxy S smartphone lineup if the company can provide consumers differentiated user experience through software and user-friendly functions (for the curved screen)," said Samsung mobile business president, Koh Dong-jin.

At the moment, Samsung remains mum about all the rumors and speculations surrounding the upcoming Galaxy S8.
