Samsung Galaxy S8 release date, specs: Samsung to focus on VR support
It appears that Samsung will put an emphasis to Virtual Reality in its much talked about upcoming flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S8.
Previous reports suggest that the handset will boast an Ultra high-definition (HD) display with 4K screen resolution. A brand new report cements the device as a VR powerhouse.
It is being said that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will house ARM Mali-G71, a monstrous chip that packs an immense amount of power promising stellar graphics performance.
This means that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will be a beast of a smartphone visuals-wise as much as it will be in terms of its efficiency and power.
Reports also suggested that the device will have the next-generation Exynos processor, the 8895. The current-gen version, which is the Exynos 8890, already helps Samsung Galaxy S7 be superior to competition.
With the Exynos 8895 processor keeping the lights on the Samsung Galaxy S8, and even pairing it up with the heavyweight of a graphics card that is ARM Mali-G71, the South Korea-based tech giant's next outing will definitely be one to watch.
Forbes is also confident of Samsung's abilities in building a VR-centered device in the Samsung Galaxy S8. With that said, the Samsung Galaxy S8 will definitely be one for the books.
Samsung appears to be serious in making its upcoming smartphone stand out. Apart from VR support, the device is also expected to be the first to ditch the flat screen.
The company will reportedly use curved displays for its handsets from now on starting with the Samsung Galaxy S8, making the "Edge" its ultimate identity.
It is no surprise that Samsung is making sure their next product will deliver. After the disaster that followed the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, whose launch was marred by issues about exploding batteries, the tech firm has not been more dogged to redeem and prove itself.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to be released early next year at the Mobile World Congress.
