Samsung Galaxy S8 specs news: Flagship smartphone to support 4K resolution
Samsung is currently focusing on the release of its new top-tier phone, the Galaxy Note 7. Following its release, fans are expecting the company to start working on its next generation flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S8. The highly anticipated device is expected to come out packed with advanced specs and exciting features next year. According to reports, the handset will feature a curved display with 4K resolution support.
Fabnewz reported that the upcoming smartphone will be launched between March and April 2017. The prediction is based on the scheduled releases of its predecessors. The last four Galaxy S models were released between the months of March and April. Although nothing is set in stone as of the moment, the publication's bold prediction makes a lot of sense considering the previous models' release dates.
Despite, Samsung's continued silence with regard to its development and release date, fans and critics have already continued to share speculations on what the new device will bring to the table. Previous reports suggest that the device will carry a 5.5-inch screen with 4K UHD display.
The speculations started when the UBI Research Company stated that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will become the first smartphone to carry such amazing display technology.
"Samsung Display showcased a 5.5 ultra-high definition 4K display with a pixel density of 806 ppi for virtual reality devices at the Society for Information Display, a display trade show, in California in March," according to an official of the firm. "Considering various factors including the production yield rate for the next-generation display expected to improve in the coming months, the 5.5-inch AMOLED will be deployed in the next Galaxy smartphone, presumably, named the S8."
Meanwhile, MNR Daily reported that the next Galaxy S device will run on a Snapdragon 830 processor from Qualcomm. However, there are also speculations suggesting that Samsung might go with the powerful Exynos 8895.
Regardless of its processor, Samsung Galaxy S8 will come out as one of the most powerful handsets of all time.
