After several weeks of speculation, Samsung already confirmed that the next iteration of their own smartwatch will be unveiled in the coming days. The much awaited Samsung Gear S3 will arrive this November as the pre-orders for the said device are now being accepted.
As reported by Game N Guide, the Samsung Gear S3 is already available for pre-ordering and shipping. As of now, AT&T has already accepted pre-orders as early as Nov. 4, while the others opened the pre-ordering period last November 6. The actual release of the next Samsung smartwatch is expected on Nov. 18.
It was reported that the Samsung Gear S3 will have to variants, namely Frontier and Classic. However, even though the two variants have varying range of specs and design, both of them are expected to have the same price tag. According to Value, both Frontier and Classic will be sold on the market for $349.99.
For those who will not be ready to purchase the Samsung Gear S3 in one-time payment, AT&T is said to have a promo for the smartwatch, offering $17.50 per month mode of payment for 20 months.
There might not be too much of a difference between the Classic and Frontier variants of the Samsung Gear S3. However, it is believed that the Classic variant will be presented as the elegant Gear S3, while the Frontier is more suitable for more adventurous users with its rugged look. The latter is known to have an LTE support, which is one advantage it has over the Classic variant.
The Samsung Gear S2 is expected to have at least 4 GB internal storage capacity and 786 MB RAM. The smartwatch is powered by 380 mAh batteries, lasting up to three days without charging.
Digital Trends reported that the previous iteration of the smartwatch, Gear S2, is smaller in total size when compared to the upcoming Gear S3 with its 46 mm diameter casing. To recall, the regular Samsung Gear S2 is only around 32 mm in diameter.
