'Scream' season 2 finale rumors and spoilers: Audrey Jensen or Eli Hudson could be the killer
As the murder investigation in the upcoming "Scream" season 2 episode intensifies, Emma Duval (Willa Fitzgerald) and Audrey Jensen (Bex Taylor-Klaus) are facing an uphill battle to prove their innocence following their alleged link to a series of murders happening in Lakewood.
In the recently aired episode titled "Heavenly Creatures," the authorities have been trying to piece together traces of evidence that seem to point to Emma and Audrey's connection in the killing spree. But proving their innocence together is a daunting task given the enmity of the two former best friends.
However, putting all the blame on the two girls only adds up to the suspense build-up as fans eagerly wait for the season finale titled "When a Stranger Calls." So far, unwrapping the real culprit behind the murder spree remains a puzzling work.
Who could be the real killer?
Audrey remains one of the prime suspects linked to the Lakewood crimes. She is Emma's childhood friend in the MTV crime-horror series — a good cover for her alleged dubious murder role.
In the "Jeepers Creepers" episode, Audrey explained in length to Noah Foster (John Karna) that she's not responsible for the string of murders happening all over town as mentioned in a report by Movie News Guide. However, Noah didn't seem totally convinced with a cloud of suspicion hovering around his head.
However, since the release of the episodes leading up to the finale, Noah distances himself from his earlier obsession with the Brandon James killer since the death of Zoe (Kiana Ledé) in "The Vanishing." He even requests his friends to remove his murder board as he tries to recover from a stab wound in the hospital.
Audrey, Emma and Kieran Wilcox (Amadeus Serafini) agree to fulfill his request. As the three head to Noah's house, Emma makes an intriguing discovery of Eli Hudson (Sean Grandillo) as per International Business Times report. As they go over some pictures, they saw him suspiciously hiding in the background of picture taken during Will Belmont's (Connor Weil) funeral indicating that he was in Lakewood at that time. They all hurry to tell Noah of their discovery but he refuses to listen to them as he blames himself for Zoe's death due to his obsession with the Brandon James killer.
Eli could be another likely candidate for the murders. Since his arrival in Lakewood, there has been a series of problems around town. Mayor Maddox (Bryan Batt) even pays his mother $15,000 to pack things up and leave but Eli has none of it and even throws his mother's luggage in rage.
However, with Maddox's death, suspicion is leaning heavily on Eli, especially with his cloned mobile phone found in the barn where the mayor was brutally skewered to death with a pitch fork. However, attributing the mayor's death to Eli's murderous handiwork may sound like laying all the cards too early, Zap2it noted.
As fans do their guess work, everything will soon be revealed in "When a Stranger Calls" episode on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at 9 p.m. EDT on MTV.
