Shameless Season 5 Premiere Date: Viewers Must Wait Till 2015

American adaptation of British show, Shameless, was renewed for another season earlier this year. It is only right, as the show gave out a good cliffhanger in the last season when Justin Chatwin unexpectedly made a surprise comeback but is now living by a different name — Jack.

Reports claim that shooting for the new episodes has already started in July this year. Fans will be desperate to see the new season, and with Chatwin's sudden return to the set that, supposedly, most of the cast did not know, things could not be more exciting.

One insider allegedly explained, "He got his own makeup crew, and his scenes were filmed in secret."

Meanwhile, Shameless' social media account has been supplying fans with updates on the first few episodes. It seems that a new love interest for Fiona Gallagher being played by Emmy Rossum, will reportedly enter the scene and will be portrayed by Steve Kazee.

TV Line also reported that Dermont Mulroney will join the show as Sean Pierce, who was described as 'a recovering addict and the new manager at Patsy's Pies.'

With a few more months to wait for, John Wells, the show's executive producer, wanted to make sure that they keep the fans interested.

It's just unfortunate that the viewers will have to wait until 2015 before the new season premieres. Though unconfirmed as to when exactly the new season will start, some say it's probably going to be around January, with 12 episodes to be featured.
