Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim remaster release updates 2016: No new content to be added
The highly-anticipated remastered version of the "Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" will not get expanded storyline and additional creatures as suggested by rumors.
Officially named "Elder Scrolls Skyrim: Special Edition," the remaster will simply get a graphics overhaul and nothing more. This is what Bethesda Softworks vice president Pete Hines clarified.
He debunked a report by NSEA Voice that claims new features and content such as dragon respawns and extended storyline will be added in the "Skyrim" remaster.
The only things that fans can expect of "Elder Scrolls Skyrim: Special Edition" is the experience of playing the game on the current-generation consoles as well as improved versions of the content released for the original.
The remastered version of the hit open-world action role-playing video game will make use of the increased power of the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One by improving the graphics quality.
What fans can expect in "Elder Scrolls Skyrim: Special Edition" is a new mod support. Other than that, the remaster is practically a visually better version of the original released in 2011.
However, Hines also noted that the Xbox One version will not get the voice command feature for Dragon Shouts, which was featured in the Xbox 360 via the Kinect support.
With that said, Xbox One players will simply have to do the Dragon Shout command on the "Skyrim" remaster via the controller.
Meanwhile, Business Insider says that "Elder Scrolls Skyrim: Special Edition" is actually "better than anything that's come out this year."
The mods definitely helped the game reach its fullest potentials, and the best part about it is that fans are behind the improvement.
"Elder Scrolls Skyrim: Special Edition" will be released on Oct. 28. Players who have the personal computer (PC) version and all add-ons namely Dawnguard, Hearthfire and Dragonborn on Steam will get the "Skyrim" remaster for free.
