Sniper Elite Zombie Army Trilogy on PS4, Xbox One Release Date: Game Arriving March 2015
Gamers who aren't satisfied with the free Sniper Elite V2 being provided for Xbox live Gold subscribers this month can take cheer from the announcement that Sniper Elite Zombie Army Trilogy will be released on March 6 and will be available on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
The studio behind the game Rebellion announced the trilogy last month, noting that it will be a compilation of re-mastered versions of Nazi Zombie Army 1 and Nazi Zombie Army 2 along with new content.
Recently the creative director of Rebellion, Jason Kingsley, said the company did not want to create the Zombie Army trilogy until they knew the Xbox One and PS4 were ready for it. He said the trilogy will be vastly improved in terms of visuals, thanks to the studio's state-of-the-art Asura engine.
In the trilogy, there will be a total of 15 separate missions divided into three campaigns. Players will be able to attempt the game both solo and along with others working as a team.
As for the new content and characters, five missions and four playable characters will be the new additions. Gamespot noted that these four new characters will be female and they can be employed in the "horde mode," which will also feature five unique maps.
As for the content from Nazi Zombie Army 1 and 2, some of it will be revamped and there will be additional graphics, enemies and animations.
Those who are familiar with Sniper Elite V2 will find that its gameplay and engine are similar to those used in Zombie Army Trilogy. The major difference are the Nazi zombies who turn up in large numbers.
Gamers who have already purchased Nazi Zombie Army 1 and 2 for their PCs will be able to get an automatic 60 percent discount on Zombie Army Trilogy.
