Song Joong-ki, Lee Kwang-soo spotted filming together; 'Descendants of the Sun' actor returning to TV soon?
Song Joong-ki, who is inarguably today's hottest Korean actor after his appearance in massive hit drama "Descendants of the Sun," has been spotted filming for a TV sitcom with actor — and his real life best friend — Lee Kwang-soo.
Fans were quick to spread the photos online of the filming done at a certain location in Seoul, according to Soompi. The photos, which were uploaded by fans who were at the location that time, show the actors walking together wearing casual clothing. They reportedly filmed a scene in front of a convenience store, and in some photos they were seen chatting with the production crew.
The shoot is said to be for an upcoming web and TV drama based on a popular webtoon series in Korea, titled "The Sound of Your Heart." The drama will star "Running Man" mainstay Lee Kwang Soo as the lead, alongside actress Jung So-min. Reports say that "The Sound of Your Heart" will be released first online on Naver TVCast before the TV version is aired by KBS2.
As for Song Joong-ki, he will play a cameo appearance in the sitcom. Previous reports stated that the DOTS star will appear briefly in his best friend's new drama, proving yet again of their close bond and friendship. It can be recalled that Lee Kwang-soo also made a cameo appearance in "Descendants of the Sun" as per Song Joong-ki's request. While the comedic actor appeared for only a few minutes in one DOTS episode, his presence was said to have "elicited smiles all around" given his and Song Joong Ki's chemistry and friendship.
Meanwhile, Song Joong-ki is not likely to star in a new TV drama anytime soon. His next project instead is a movie titled "Gunhamdo," or roughly translated as "Battleship." According to Soompi, the actor will play the role of an independence fighter, which is similar to the one he played in his latest drama.
