Ever since the release of DICE's rebooted "Star Wars Battlefront," a lot of fans have been complaining about the lack of playable characters and space battles. With the release of the new "Death Star" downloadable content (DLC), however, fans get more of the "Star Wars" world coming into "Battlefront."

A new trailer showcases the new playable heroes for both sides and the new space missions that allow players to take control of Luke Skywalker's Red Five X-Wing or Vader's TIE Advanced.

The video also features an appearance from another "Star Wars" fan favorite, R2-D2. It looks like a new mission will be available where players must find and escort the astromech droid to safety. The abilities of each of the heroes are also shown in the trailer. It looks like Chewbacca will be able to use his fabled Wookie strength.

Aside from that, Chewie also comes equipped with his classic bowcaster which packs more of a punch than the usual weapons. Chewie also has a skill called "Furious Firing" which lets him shoot one extra bolt for every trait level gained.

Chewie also has the "Mighty Roar" ability which allows him to increase the stats of nearby friendly forces, giving them a level-three Berserker effect and high armor for a limited time. Even Chewie gets his stats boosted when he roars.

As for the Imperial hero, Bossk, he has the ability to regenerate his health for every kill. This harkens to his species which can regenerate his limbs when they are cut off. The trailer also showcased his heat vision which allows him to find any enemies that are hiding in the battlefield.

Bossk also has a skill called Toxic Escape which lets him drop a deadly bomb in the middle of an arena and jump to safety using his reptilian reflexes.

The "Death Star" DLC patch will be available for non-season pass holders Monday, Oct 3. People with the season pass, however, can get their hands on the expansion two weeks earlier on Tuesday, Sept. 20
