'Suits' season 6 episode 7 spoilers, plot news: Mike does the extreme to get Kevin on his side?

There are just a few more episodes to go before the summer finale of "Suits" season 6. Will the truth about Kevin Miller be Mike Ross' ticket to getting out of prison sooner? That's what the past and upcoming episode of the series seem to hint.

To recap last week's episode titled "Spain," Mike (Patrick J. Adams) finally discovered why Kevin (Eric Palladino) is refusing to testify against his father-in-law, William Sutter (Alan Rosenberg). Apparently, Kevin was in prison for his wife. Kevin discovered that his father-in-law was actually making money from insider trading and that his wife was aware of it all along. Disappointed, Kevin went out to drink and was arrested for drunk driving.

When the truth came out and Kevin was given a choice, he chose to serve three years in prison than have his wife serve prison time. So when Mike learned of this, he advised Kevin to rethink the deal on the condition that his wife would receive immunity.

The episode likewise revealed why Sean Cahill (Neal McDonough) was after Kevin testifying against Sutter. It turns out Sean's mother, who was a teacher, wasn't able to go on a trip to Spain because the state teacher's fund invested its money in Sutter, and her retirement savings were part of it.

Wednesday's episode, titled "Shake the Trees," will see if Mike would be able to honor Kevin's request for him not to tell anyone the truth seeing as how Mike is Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and Sean's informant. The episode will also see Harvey trying to buy more time for Mike, as the latter tries to go through extreme lengths to convince Kevin to testify against Sutter. Check out the promo video below.

It's obvious from the video that Mike and Harvey will argue over Kevin, with Mike saying he's betrayed Kevin enough and Harvey telling him "there is no third deal." So it looks like Mike will be extreme measures to get Kevin on his side.

Rachel (Meghan Markle) will also work hard to free Leonard Bailey, but it might not be enough to save the death-row inmate even with Jessica on her side. Harvey, on the other hand, will enlist Donna (Sarah Rafferty) and Louis' (Rick Hoffman) help in searching for the "missing link" to Sutter and his purported insider trading.
