'Supernatural' Season 10 Spoilers: 'Ask Jeeves' Takes Show on a Detective Bend
Ever since the show "Grimm" premiered, there have always been attempts to compare it with "Supernatural" (airing every Tuesday at 9 p.m. over ET on The CW Network).
For one thing, both are targeting practically the same market, and for another, both shows deal with otherworldly creatures, such as monsters and demons.
"Grimm" has always included touches of an investigative approach. This Tuesday, Nov. 18, "Supernatural" will try to go beyond that in Episode 6 of Season 10, entitled "Ask Jeeves."
For a change, it appears as if the brothers Winchester -- Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) -- won't be facing supernatural creatures this time. Instead, there will be a murder victim, and Sam and Dean will do what they can to unravel the killer.
However, viewers expecting a Sherlock Holmes-type of development will be led down to a different detective story bend—one that leads right to the popular Hasbro board "solve the mystery" game known as "Clue or Cluedo."
Sam and Dean get involved in the situation when Dean finds an unusual message on the phone of Bobby (Jim Beaver). It's all about an inheritance that supposedly will go to Bobby or his nearest relative. That's the reason Sam and Dean go to the indicated location, hoping to find some treasure.
But when they arrive at the mansion, they find the dead heiress instead, and it falls upon them to solve the mystery.
Will "Ask Jeeves" really be a full-on detective type mystery story? Or will audiences be suddenly startled by the appearance of a supernatural creature when they least expect it? Find out on Tuesday.
