'Supernatural' season 12 spoilers: Another familiar face returns to help Sam and Dean
Apart from Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean's (Jensen Ackles) mother Mary, another familiar face is set to return in "Supernatural" season 12 to help the brothers.
Adam Rose will return as Aaron Boss next season to help the Winchester bros as they take on Hitler. Rose first appeared in the eighth season of the show in the "Everybody Hates Hitler" episode.
Aaron is the grandson of a member of secret group of rabbis called Judah Initiative, which aims to fight the Thule Society, who will be featured in the fifth episode of "Supernatural" season 12, the same installment Rose will reappear.
Showrunner Andrew Dabb recently teased a Hitler episode for the new season to TVLine. He revealed that the Thule Society is aiming to "enact their master plan and bring back Hitler."
"Sam and Dean are going to fight Hitler, and that's opening up some interesting doors for us in terms of just doing some more crazy stuff," Dabb explained.
As what was also teased by the showrunner before, Sam and Dean will be dealing with a lot of baddies in "Supernatural" season 12 as opposed to just one big bad.
"At the beginning of the season, Lucifer's still out there. You've got the British Men of Letters, and you've got a couple other players," Dabb told Entertainment Weekly.
"It's less Sam and Dean having to go up against one enemy and it's more Sam and Dean, especially as the season progresses, feeling they're surrounded by enemies, some of whom may be people they have viewed as allies up until this point," he continued.
Dabb also said that there will be standalone episodes featuring Castiel (Misha Collins). It was said before that the warrior version of Cas will once again take center stage in "Supernatural" season 12 so fans of the character will definitely be happy about this direction.
"Supernatural" season 12 will premiere Thursday, Oct. 13, at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
