The 12th season of "Supernatural" comes back on The CW with the happenings of the Winchester brothers. Sam and Dean were put behind bars and the government was the one to blame.

The future episodes of "Supernatural" season 12 will determine what will happen to Sam and Dean Winchester, especially now that they are out behind bars. Spoilers claim that the show will concentrate on the relationship of the brothers to the British Men of Letters. Fans apparently see the possibility that the group was responsible for the duo's imprisonment.

However, series creator Andrew Dabb immediately clarified the speculations. In an interview with TVLine, he said that the British Men of Letters have nothing to do with the sad fate of Sam and Dean. He further continued that it is the government who put them behind bars.

The unexpected arrest of the brothers has shocked the entire world, but Dabb said that the incident will test their relationship with the group.

Lead star Jensen Ackles also told the publication of the future happenings of "Supernatural" season 12. He said, "We're going to see that storyline get fleshed out in the second half of the season."

"There are going to be some recruitment attempts, some disagreements about methods of hunting, and that will certainly boil to a point," the actor added.

He continued revealing that the Winchester brothers do not agree with the British Men of Letters' hunting system, though they will realize that their method is effective to a certain extent. This may mean that Sam and Dean may be searching for a middle ground that they both could agree upon.

Actor Jared Padalecki also revealed that the 12th season is "reminiscent of Season 6 when Sam was soulless and kind of behaved much the same way the British Men of Letters are behaving now, at least in their hunting tactics."

"Supernatural" season 12 airs on Jan. 26, 8:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
