Swype Update Download: iOS Keyboard for iPhone 6; 21 Languages Now Supported

The Swype iOS Keyboard is much loved by many users with good reason. It has made message composing intuitive, and therefore, easier and more convenient. No wonder that it has become the preferred keyboard in many countries, even in places where English is not the primary language used.

For a considerable time, Swype has been providing convenience to users who prefer either German or Italian or Spanish or English in writing their messages. The great news is that 16 more languages are being integrated into Swype, bringing the total number of languages now supported to 21.

While it's the European market of Apple that will mostly be affected by this upgrade, South Asian English speakers will also benefit, since among the additional 16 languages for the upgrade is Hinglish, a hybrid form of English that combines regular English with some South Asian languages such as Hindi and Punjabi. The other languages that will benefit from the upgrade are: UK English, Finnish, Greek, Dutch, Danish, Czech, Hungarian, Irish, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Turkish, Russian, Romanian, and Swedish.

The Swype iOS keyboard is convenient because it allows users to literally "swipe" their way across the keyboard in order to form words, instead of tapping on the keyboard buttons one at a time.

Swype is highly intuitive, which means that it has a number of words that are considered for each swiping movement. The context of the message being created is the predictive basis for choosing which word should appear next onscreen.

Nuance has seen to it that with the latest update of the Swype keyboard for iOS 8 devices, the AZERTY and the QWERTZ keyboard layouts would be made available for users from Central Europe and France, respectively.

These layouts are supplementary to the QWERTY keyboard, making the overall swiping experience for its varied markets in different countries a truly enjoyable deal. Along with the update, Nuance has also made Swype's themes free for iPad users.
