Fans might have resigned themselves to the fact that "Teen Wolf" season 6 will be the final one for the series, but they'll be happy to know that a few familiar Beacon Hills faces might be back before the show breathes its last.

True Alpha Scott McCall (Tyler Posey) is already near the end of his senior year, which signals the end of the MTV series. However, Scott and the rest of the pack, including his best friend Stiles (Dylan O'Brien) and Lydia (Holland Roden) will not be going out without a bang.

Apparently, the infamous Peter Hale (Ian Bohen) could break free from Eichen House and wreak havoc among the gang. This was confirmed by no less than the show's executive producer, Jeff Davis, during the San Diego Comic-Con last July.

"When we realized this might be the last season, we wanted to make sure we brought back these relationships," Davis told Entertainment Weekly. "We definitely wanted Peter Hale back to see the relationship between Peter and Malia and what other trouble Peter could get into... and we also have some great scenes between Peter and Stiles. I wanted to see again and Ian and Dylan [O'Brien] have some great stuff this season so we'll see."

Aside from Peter, the gang will also be facing the Ghost Riders, which, according to reports, have the ability to erase the identity of a person, leading that person's friends and family to forget about him completely. It seems Stiles will be the Ghost Riders' target and while everybody might forget that he exists, Lydia will be the last one to forget about him. In fact, Lydia could be Stiles' only hope for survival.

However, will the Ghost Riders have something to do with Peter's escape from Eichen House? Davis will not commit to this, but his reply to the question was leading.

"You'll see," he told EW. "We definitely do a bit of a flashback to show exactly what happened to Peter."

Davis goes on to say that a few more familiar faces will drop in on "Teen Wolf" season 6, appearing in the shadow world of those victimized by the Ghost Riders.

Nevertheless, those hoping for a Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin) comeback will be in for some disappointing news, as the actor confirmed, as early as June, that his character will not be heading back to Beacon Hills.

"Oh god. I'm sorry, I would love to make everybody cheer and be happy right now. I don't have any plans to right now," Hypable quotes the actor as saying. "I kind of feel like where we left the character, at least, when I knew it was going that way, kind of wrapped it up in the passing of the baton on to Scott, is just kind of how I felt like that story ended. I don't know in which way he would come back into this world, exactly."

"Teen Wolf" season 6 is returning to the small screens on Nov. 15 at 9 p.m. EDT, only on MTV.
