'Teen Wolf' season 6 spoilers: Lydia finds a new portal to lead her closer to the truth about Stiles' disappearance

The hunt for Stiles Stilinski (Dylan O'Brien) will intensify when "Teen Wolf" season 6 returns for its remaining episodes on MTV this week.

Based on the trailer for the episode called "Ghosted," Stiles' best friend, Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), as well as Malia Tate (Shelley Hennig) and girlfriend Lydia Martin (Holland Roden) will follow the clues that he sent to help them realize what they have been missing all along.

The clues will lead the pack toward a strange town called Canaan, where most of the residents have gone missing. The three will try to find out what happened to the deserted town by talking to the lone resident, who also happens to be a banshee. It seems like the town can help them unravel the mysteries about the Ghost Riders.

Another sneak peek for the episode was released by MTV, in which Lydia is seen accidentally having a vision of a portal that will lead them to an unknown place while watching her hands of the sink.

Zap2it posted the synopsis for the upcoming episode, which reads: "Scott, Lydia and Malia look for clues about the Wild Hunt; Liam and Hayden take drastic measures in the fight against the Ghost Riders."

The episode is slated to air on Tuesday, Jan. 3, on MTV.

Meanwhile, ScreenerTV listed down some of the past characters of "Teen Wolf" who should return to the series to say their final goodbye before the show concludes at the end of season 6.

The report mentioned that characters like Isaac Lahey (Daniel Sharman), Allison Argent (Crystal Reed), Derek Hale (Tyler Hoechlin), Kira Yukimura (Arden Cho), and Jackson Whittemore (Colton Haynes) must return to Beacon Hills to wrap up their stories before the series finale. But MTV has yet to confirm if the characters will still have a chance to appear in the show before it aired its final episode.
