'Tekken 7' PS4 release date news 2016: PS4 trailer, new Cloud Serafino story arc and character screenshots unveiled

A new trailer for "Tekken 7" was released at the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2016, giving fans a look at the fighting game in the PlayStation 4. The clip focused on the epic story mode of the beloved game.

The clip had the spotlight on the members of the Mishima clan, who are the center of the story mode of the title. Media outlets are happy about the trailer as it promises a great fighting experience for console players.

Apart from the story of the Mishimas, "Tekken 7" will also feature other story arcs centered on other characters in the roster.

Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed new details on Claudio Serafino's storyline in "Tekken 7," which involves a group of exorcists that goes by the name The Archers of Sirius, in which he is the leader.

As per the description obtained by Anime News Network, the story involves the "highly secretive organization" who has been "banishing supernatural entities from the world since ancient times."

The Archers of Sirius were approached by Mishima Zaibatsu, who invited them to join his alliance. This was a shock to the group since their existence is not public knowledge, which led them to suspect Mishima Zaibatsu's motives.

The Archers of Sirius naturally refused but this did not stop the persistent pressure from the Mishima Zaibatsu and eventually, the news of their unrelenting harassment reached the de facto leader of the Archers of Sirius, Claudio Serafino. Determined to uncover the motives behind the Mishima Zaibatsu's aggressive recruitment tactics, Claudio begins to investigate the powerful conglomerate.

In addition to the action and drama-packed trailer, high-definition (HD) screenshots were also released, showing off the characters in the "Tekken 7" roster in great detail.

"Tekken 7" will be released on the PS4, Xbox One, and the personal computer (PC) in the West in early 2017.

On top of the crop of fighters revealed in the arcade version of the game, the console versions will come with Lee Chaolan and Violet as playable characters.
