Telltale 'Game of Thrones' Release Date News: Episode 'The Sword in the Darkness' Set for Release This Month
The third episode of Telltale's "Game of Thrones" game is due for release before the end of this month. With only a few days remaining until its arrival, the company has been releasing several teasers for it.
Earlier this month, Telltale announced that the third and latest episode would be titled "The Sword in the Darkness," which indicates that much of the action will take place at the Wall in Westeros.
There was some confusion on whether Telltale would be releasing the third episode this month, but this was put to rest when the company's PR director Job J Stauffer tweeted that two episodes from "Game of Thrones" could be released in one month. This indicated that "Tales from the Borderlands" would first land in March followed by "The Sword in the Darkness."
After the release of "The Sword in the Darkness," three more episodes are scheduled for release before the six-part game comes to an end. These are "Sons of Winter," "A Nest of Vipers" and "The Ice Dragon." With the game scheduled to extend over the fifth book of "A Song of Ice and Fire," it now appears that the game is all set to end before the year is over.
The first episode "Iron from Ice" arrived last December, and the second episode "The Lost Lords" was released in February. In the upcoming episode, more action surrounding Jon Snow is set to be featured along with Tyrion on trial possibly for the murder of Joffrey.
The upcoming episode could also feature the arrival of dragons as one is seen on the poster for "The Sword in the Darkness." Expected to join the dragons would be their mother Daenerys Targaryen.
This mean Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys on the TV series "Game of Thrones," will be voicing the character. She will be joining Kit Harington who voices Jon Snow, Peter Dinklage who voices Tyrion, and Lena Headey who voices Cersei Lannister in the game. These actors also play the same roles in the TV series.
